Playoff hopes vanish as Lake Erie Monarchs fall to Licking County in finale
Lake Erie squandered several early opportunities Saturday afternoon as it concluded the regular season with a 3-1 loss to the Licking County Settlers in a Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League game at Adrian College’s Nicolay Field.

Lake Erie Monarchs keep playoff hopes alive with win over Lima Locos
A two-out RBI single by third baseman Kurt Farmer (Nebraska) was a part of a five-run fifth inning that helped Lake Erie record a 6-2 victory over the Lima Locos in Monday’s Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League contest at Adrian College’s Nicolay Field.
The seventh-place Monarchs, who entered the day .025 percentage points behind sixth-place Cincinnati for the final spot in the playoffs, improved to 17-19-1 in the GLSCL with three games remaining. Continue reading
